Biography: H. Francis Sellers (1937 - ?) was born and raised in western Wyoming. He studied art at Brigham Young university for several years but was "drinkin' and smokin' and havin' lotsa fun but that ain't the way that school was run .." After working timber camps and saw mills, he attended school in Los Angeles for over two years, living and painting in the inner city.
His paintings were exhibited in Yucca Valley and 29 Palms.
During 1971-72, Sellers taught watercolor at the Salt Lake Art Barn.
An old professor had a philosophy that he has adhered to for a long time ... "Instead of looking for something to paint and sitting down to paint, look for a really nice place to sit and look around for something to paint."
