Biography: Kay Petryszak - Art has been a passion for Kay since childhood. She started private oil painting classes at the age of 12 and then earned her B.S. in Art Education from the University of Akron in Ohio. She went on to teach art at both the junior and senior high school levels in Ohio and Georgia.

Although Kay has been painting for over fifty years, she has for the past 25 years been painting predominantly miniatures. Subjects of Kay's works are varied, but her preferred subjects are wildlife. Extensive travels and many activities in the great outdoors have provided Kay with wonderful field viewing opportunities.

An avid supporter of the resurgence of miniature art, she has served as Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of The World Federation of Miniaturists and continues as a member on this World Council. She is past President of the Miniature Art Society of Florida and presently serves as President of Miniature Artists of America.
