Biography: (from 2004) Pat Longley attended the Salem College in North Carolina and the School of Fine Arts at Yale. Since a little girl she has been involved in artwork, but since 1972 has concentrated primarily on miniature paintings.
Her forte is opaque watercolor, but she is also a scrimshander and calligrapher/ illuminator.
Pat is a consistent winner in the juried shows of the major miniature art societies in the United States. She has earned nine Best of Shows.
Pat was one of the artists commissioned by the White House to do paintings on wooden eggs, now part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian.
