Biography: (from 2004) Shelia Sanford studied at St. Martins School of Art in London. She has been painting miniatures for more than 30 years and enjoys painting all subjects - plant, figure, animal, landscape etc. Shelia obtained her experience from years of working in the publishing world of magazine illustration and book jackets, where she was obliged to paint representationally any and every subject, and paint them well.
She is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolor, the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers, the Hilliard Society and the Miniature Art Society of Florida.
A frequent prizewinner in Florida, she was chosen as a judge for their International Exhibition in 1994. Her work is on display at leading galleries and in private collections throughout the world.
