To the Museum Director: The Miniature Artists of America is an organization to honor the top contemporary professional practitioners of American miniature art. One of the goals of MAA is to encourage national awareness and understanding of Fine Art in miniature. This goal is being obtained by exhibiting contemporary examples of miniature art to the public. Six elegant cases have been prepared to be shown as an educational tool and they contain 48 juried works by 48 Signature artist members. These works have been painted by some of the foremost miniaturists in the United States, England, Canada, Poland, and South Africa. It is our wish that these cases be shown in galleries and museums through-out the United States. We will be very pleased if you would exhibit this miniature show in your gallery. Exhibit information is as follows: ~ We provide the show to you at no charge. ~ None of the works are for sale ~ Six cases (20"Hx24"Wx2"D) will arrive postage paid. ~ Hang the cases with the same care and security that you give your own. ~ Please publicize this exhibit ~ Return the cases to their specially built traveling containers. If you consider exhibiting this miniature art collection within the next two years, please contact Wes Siegrist, the exhibition coordinator. Exhibit Contents & Information: (6) Black metal cases with black suede backing displaying miniature paintings. - Each case measures 24" wide x 20" high and are @ 1½ inches deep. (2) Cases per aluminum mailing container - Inserted FACING each other. - Each mailing container measures 25¼ inches wide x 21¼ inches high x 3¼ inches deep. - Weight of 1 mailing container (containing two display cases) is under 35 pounds. - Each mailing container has a lock and a key. Key is mailed separately. * Mailing costs will be paid by the Miniature Artists of America, unless your organization wishes to contribute return postage. |
